The Premium range allows home beer makers to experience flavours from around the world in their own homes, enjoyably and economically. Formulations for this range have purposely not been changed since they were first developed back in the early 1970’s – a tremendous heritage and a proven track record. The Muntons Premium range was developed for the original four kits in the early days of English home-brewing. This premium beer is light in style with a fresh clean taste, ideally served ice-cold with a wedge of lime or lemon. Muntons’s master brewers have developed this distinctively European style beer using the finest 2-row barley and select hops to create a lightly coloured beer with a fresh, crisp finish. This is the typical “drink all afternoon” beer, working well on its own or with a bowl of popcorn or plate of BarBQ. T his kit makes a similar but much better beer than Heineken, Grolsch, or Stella. You can optionally add an ounce of hops (Cascade, Saaz, or Tettnanger) to the boil, or add 8oz MaltoDextrine for more sweetness and a thicker mouthfeel. These items are available separately, search my Store. Runs about 5% alcohol with a 2.2lb sugar addition. Crisp pale malt aromas with a hint of spicy hops, clean pale malt flavours and a light-bodied palate that finishes with obvious hop bitterness. Golden crisp beer popular in Northern Europe.
